NTA’s 2027 exam calendar is expected by September – its first in three years

Multiple reports indicate NTA is preparing to release a full exam calendar for 2027 by September 2026, covering JEE Main, NEET UG and CUET – after an August planning meeting to fix the roadmap. If it lands, it will be NTA’s first proper annual calendar since 2023.

Why a calendar is a big deal

For three years, aspirants have planned around expected windows and waited for piecemeal notifications. A published calendar changes the psychology of a prep year: you stop guessing and start scheduling. School exams, board practicals, family events – everything can finally be arranged around known national dates.

What to do when it drops

• Recalculate your runway the same day. Days-to-exam is the single most clarifying number in preparation.
• Lock your mock-test calendar. Full-length papers every week for the final stretch, dated backwards from the real exam day.
• Don’t renegotiate your plan. If the announced date is within days of the expected window – and it usually is – your existing plan stands.
